Lady of the Lake

Some work I did for an upcoming film! I was tasked with making a statue for the Arthurian "Lady of the Lake" which would sit underwater, hand stretched out to hold the holy sword Excalibur.

First bit of ideation - I got feedback from my director to go in a less traditional "renaissance" type vibe. You can see I go forward in a different direction further below.

This is the pose my director ultimately chose for the statue. Some feedback I got was to include a snake- which in English legend is also associated with water. My director also wanted the dress to appear more "floaty" in the final.
